Your privacy is important to Yamaha Motor Finance Canada Ltd. (“we, “us”, “our”), the owner and operator of the Adventure Protect protection products (“Adventure Protect”) and this Adventure Protect website (“website”). This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy“) describes how we collect, use and share personal information of visitors to our website and individuals who choose to communicate with us for the purposes of inquiring about Adventure Protect. 

Please note that the Adventure Protect website is for informational purposes only. This Privacy Policy does not apply to how we handle personal information in the course of providing Adventure Protect products and services to customers who have purchased these products and services. 

When used in this Privacy Policy, the term “personal information” means any information about an identifiable individual. This may include, as an example, your name, email address and contact details. It may also include other types of more technical information, such as your IP address, but only when this information can identify you as an individual. Information that is aggregated and/or anonymized and cannot be associated with an identifiable individual is not considered to be personal information.

In the event the transaction is not completed, we will require the other party not to use or disclose your personal information in any manner whatsoever and to completely delete such information, in compliance with applicable laws.

Applicable laws may permit or require the disclosure of personal information without consent in specific circumstances (e.g., when investigating and preventing suspected or actual illegal activities, including fraud, or to assist government and law enforcement agencies). These circumstances include situations when permitted or required by law or when necessary to protect Adventure Protect, our employees, users of our services, or others. If this happens, we will not share more personal information than is reasonably required to fulfill that particular purpose.

We do not and will not sell any personal information to third parties for marketing or any other commercial purposes.

3. Personal Information Outside of Canada

Your personal information may in some cases be transferred to jurisdictions outside Canada to be processed or stored.
